Jade
For 7,000 years, the ancient Chinese were using a variety of white to green stone known as ‘Yu’ in Chinese ‘玉’ or ‘Jade’ as the West would call it. Jade was appreciated for its toughness and is durability to wear and tear. The two main types of jade are nephrite-jade and jadeite-jade. These are two different minerals with different chemical compositions.
Natural untreated Jadeite is referred to as A Jade / Type A Jadeite / A-Jade.
