As I started out this trade with my father, Mr Tay Thye Sun, who is a reknowned gemologist. I learnt from him that education is very important. To have a diploma in gemology is important, to know what you are selling and presenting our products clearly and with knowledge is of upmost importance!
After being in this industry for 10 years, I realised, on top of this knowledge, we need to know what people want, what people are looking for, to understand them, to listen to their needs.
